The Alaskan Tundra is a very difficult region to live in. Many animals who live there have to have special adaptations to survive. One example of this is the arctic fox. This animal has a short, round body and short ears to limit the amount of skin exposed to the frigid air. It is also white to camouflage with the snow and ice.
